Why Polished Concrete

Polished concrete delivers a clean architectural look with long-term performance. We’ll help you choose the right sheen and exposure based on the space, traffic, and maintenance expectations.

Performance

Built to Last

Densification and progressive refinement improve abrasion resistance—great for high-traffic residential and commercial floors.

Maintenance

Easy to Keep Clean

No peeling paint. No flaking DIY coatings. Simple dust mopping and pH-neutral cleaning keeps it looking sharp.

Appearance

Sheen & Exposure Control

From satin to high-gloss, and from cream finish to salt-and-pepper exposure—we’ll dial in the look you want.

Protection

Stain Resistance Options

Guards and sealers can be added where chemistry demands it—restaurants, retail, and other spill-prone environments.

Our Process

Every slab is different. We start by assessing condition, existing coatings, cracks/joints, and your desired finish. Then we match the tooling and protection level to the job—no guesswork.

1

Assess & Flatten

We evaluate the slab and make the right initial cut for flatness, consistency, and the exposure you want.

2

Refine & Densify

Progressive grinding removes scratches and densifier hardens the concrete and tightens pores for better performance.

3

Polish for Clarity

Resin polishing builds clarity and reflectivity—satin, semi-gloss, or high-gloss depending on your goals.

4

Protect for Real Use

Optional guards/sealers provide added stain resistance. We tailor protection to residential, retail, or industrial demands.

FAQs

Is polished concrete slippery?

Dry polished concrete performs well for interior use. In wet or oily areas, we tailor finish and protection for traction and safety.

How do I clean it?

Dust mop regularly and use a pH-neutral cleaner as needed. Avoid harsh degreasers unless we specify a maintenance plan for your environment.

Will I see aggregate?

Aggregate exposure depends on slab condition and the initial cut. We’ll discuss your preference (cream, salt-and-pepper, or heavier exposure) before starting.

How long does it take?

Many homes take 1–3 days depending on square footage and condition. Commercial projects vary with size, access, and protection requirements.

Do you offer grind & seal as an option?

Yes. If full polishing isn’t the right fit, we can recommend a grind & seal system that matches your goals and budget.
